Senior Partner, Industrial Practice
The Role
Nexus Search Partners is seeking a Senior Partner to lead our Industrial Practice. This role will be pivotal in driving growth and execution across the industrial and manufacturing sectors, including aerospace, automotive, energy, and advanced manufacturing.. The Senior Partner will manage retained search engagements, cultivate client relationships, and expand Nexus’ presence in a core practice area. This role requires deep executive search expertise, an extensive network in industrial markets, and a proven ability to generate and deliver business at the highest level.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Partner, Industrial Practice, will play a leading role in advancing Nexus’ presence and performance across several core areas:
Business Development & Client Leadership
Originate and grow relationships with industrial and manufacturing clients.
Serve as a trusted advisor to boards, CEOs, and senior leaders on executive talent strategy.
Provide clients with market insights, compensation benchmarks, and industry-specific leadership trends.
Partner with other Nexus practices to deliver integrated human capital solutions.
Represent Nexus as a thought leader, building enduring partnerships grounded in trust, insight, and impact.
Search Execution
Lead end-to-end retained searches for senior operational, technical, and general management roles.
Partner with clients to scope complex leadership needs and define success criteria.
Develop sourcing strategies targeting executives in aerospace, defense, automotive, energy, and related sectors.
Assess candidates through structured interviews and leadership evaluations, focusing on operational excellence, safety, and innovation.
Guide clients through offer development, negotiation, and executive transitions.
Serve as a credible advocate for both clients and candidates, ensuring outcomes that drive long-term value creation.
Practice Development & Team Leadership
Build, mentor, and lead a team of consultants and associates focused on industrial markets.
Establish practice-specific goals and revenue targets aligned with Nexus’ overall growth strategy.
Represent Nexus at industry conferences, trade associations, and client forums, reinforcing thought leadership in industrial talent markets.
Contribute to firm-wide initiatives, intellectual capital, and cross-practice collaboration.
Champion Nexus’ purpose-driven culture, fostering collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Minimum 10+ years of retained executive search experience focused on industrial and manufacturing sectors.
Demonstrated success winning and delivering senior-level searches for industrial clients.
Established market presence and network within aerospace, automotive, energy, or advanced manufacturing.
Proven ability to originate business and build long-term client relationships.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills with experience building teams.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced technical or business degree preferred.
